Once you have booked an exam at the CBR, you will receive a confirmation letter from the CBR. This contains the details you need to fill in when requesting us to provide an interpreter. In this letter from the CBR, you will find your candidate number, the location, the time and the date.
Yes, you don't need to do anything else. If anything happens on our side that prevents us providing an interpreter, we will immediately contact you and look for an alternative date with the CBR. But don't worry, this very rarely happens
Before you book an exam at the CBR, you can visit our site to see which languages are available at which location. Once you have found the desired combinations, book an exam at that CBR location. You can then submit your request to us, and we will provide an interpreter at that location.

You can be assured that we will provide a good interpreter. That's our job. All our interpreters provide their services on a regular basis, have been trained and/or are sworn as an interpreter. Obviously, it is always possible that things don't go smoothly. We're all human, after all. Therefore, at the start of the exam, the examiner will ask whether you and the interpreter understand each other, so that any measures can be taken. Once the exam has started, you cannot be assigned another interpreter. If you aren't happy about the service, please let us know immediately afterwards. In consultation with you, the interpreter and the CBR, we can then discuss whether we can resolve the problem.
No, unfortunately not. Incidentally, the interpreter takes an oath in which they declare they will be neutral. Whether they come from specific countries may not play a role when they are providing their interpreting service. An interpreter speaks and is trained in a specific language, independent of the country from which they and/or you come from. You will find all the available languages when you fill in your application.

You must do this at least 14 days before taking the exam.
If you cancel the exam yourself in good time (two working days prior to the exam), you will get your money back. If you do this one day before the exam, you will get 50% back. If you cancel on the day of the exam or if you fail to attend, you will not get any money back.
You can always make minor changes like your name or date of birth (for professional exams). Send an e-mail with the changes to info@hearheartolken.nl. Please note, it is only possible to change the date if the new date is at least 14 days after we are informed of the change.

Good question. Yes, you must book an interpreter with us. At the CBR, you book a driving theory exam at a location. At this point, you indicate that you would like an interpreter. You will then be given a special place where you can do the exam and the interpreter can provide their service. Remember, this does not mean that you have booked an interpreter. After booking an exam at the CBR, you request us to provide an interpreter for that exam.
No, unfortunately not. This is a formal exam conducted by a government organisation. To ensure integrity, neutrality and quality, only sworn interpreters booked through us may be used.
No, unfortunately not. In fact, we cannot say in advance which interpreter will be assigned to you. This is because you and the interpreter are not permitted to speak or meet each other beforehand. This is a formal exam, so we are required to guarantee the CBR that the interpreter is neutral. We also want to avoid any appearance of a relationship, for example if you indicate that you want a specific interpreter.
No, unfortunately not. This is an exam at a government institution. Based on the Public Procurement Act, we have been granted the right to provide this service. The CBR and the exam candidates must book an interpreter with us. However, this does guarantee you a well qualified, sworn and reliable interpreter.
