Privacy policy

Who are we

Our website address is: https://cbr.hearheartolken.nl.

Reactions

When visitors leave reactions on the website, we collect the data presented in the response form, the visitor’s IP address and the browser user agent to help detect spam.

An anonymised string based on your e-mail address (this is called a hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service if you use this. The privacy policy page of the Gravatar service can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your reaction has been approved, your profile photo will be publicly visible in the context of your reaction.

Media

If you are a registered user and upload images to the website, you must avoid uploading your images containing EXIF GPS location data. Visitors to the website can download the images from the website and view the location data.

Cookies

When you leave a reaction on our website, you can indicate whether your name, your e-mail address and website may be stored in a cookie. We do this for your convenience so that you don’t need to fill in this data again for a new reaction. These cookies are in place for a year.

If you visit our login page, we store a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will store several cookies relating to your login information and screen display options. Login cookies are in place for 2 days and cookies for screen display options for 1 year. If you select ‘Remember me’, your login will be stored for 2 weeks. Once you log out of your account, login cookies are deleted.

If you edit or publish a post, your browser stores an additional cookie. This cookie does not contain personal data and only has the post ID of the article you processed. This cookie is deleted after one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Posts on this website may contain embedded content (for example, videos, images, posts, etc). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as it does when the visitor visits this other website.

These websites can collect data about you, use cookies, add extra tracking from third parties and monitor your interaction with this embedded content, including recording the interaction with embedded content if you have an account and are logged into that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, you IP address will be included in the reset e-mail.

How long we keep your data

When you leave a reaction, that reaction and the meta data from that reaction are kept for ever. This enables us to automatically recognise and approve subsequent reactions instead of needing to moderate them.

For users who register on our website (if present), we also store the personal information that they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or erase their personal information at any time (apart from changing their username). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.

What rights do you have over your data

If you have an account on this website or you have left reactions, you can request an export file of the personal data that we have of you, including all the data that you have provided us with. You can also request us to erase all the personal data we have of you. This does not include data that we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where is your data used

Reactions from visitors may be checked via an automated spam detection service.
